The Eagles have landed . . .

AND a group of TRAG artists and friends had a lot of fun watching and learning about them. Our first TRAG field trip of the year was to Springfield MO Nature Conservation Center for the Eagle Day program on January 20. Phoenix and Aquila, a female bald eagle and a male golden eagle, were the one of the best parts of the program, but the movie and informative talk were great, too. The birds seemed to enjoy punctuating points in the talk with their voices and expressions! After sharing lunch at a local restaurant, the group traveled to Springfield Lake for eagle watching in the wild -- no eagles sighted, but LOTS of opportunity to snap photos of the mallard ducks and scenery. We owe Ginny Campbell for setting up and coordinating this fascinating experience!

(Hopefully more photos from other members of the group will be added here later.)
